What’s happening?
Today: Beer Tasting from 6-8pm (What makes a beer thirst-quenching? will be the topic); Scrabble @ 7pm.
Wednesday: Riichi Mahjong @ 2pm; D&D Encounters (Dead in Thay) @ 6pm; Android: Netrunner @ 7pm (we’ll be getting ready for the big draft tournament on Sunday!).
The exciting news today is that we got a bunch of long-awaited restocks today: The Resistance, The Resistance: Avalon, Coup and Splendor.
Spendor we’ve talked about recently, the gem-mining nominee for this year’s Spiel des Jahres.
The others are all great, thinking games for larger groups — Coup goes up to 6 players, the two Resistances are 5-10 player games. They’re all secret role games where players take on characters and the others have to guess who they are or what faction they belong to. They’re quick, fun and require a bit more thought than most party games.
We highly recommend all of them!
Coup was a surprise hit last fall, and has been out of print ever since, so now’s your chance to pick up this great game!
